"To Know God" (Yada)
We completely inherited the name Yada. Didn't know exactly what it meant. I heard it meant something about worship and then we came up with a silly acronym, Young Adults Doing Activities. Lame huh? WELLLL….. here is the true Hebrew meaning of Yada. It's an awesome name! Thanks Darrell and Charity! ;o) I couldn't think of a better one… Are ya ready??
Yada is used in the Old Testament and when its translated into English it means “Know” or “Knowledge. If you study out Hebrew words they can be so deep in meaning. It’s an extremely rich language. Did you know that it is one of the few languages that works in pictographic and alphabetic level. In others words they have pictures too. Anyway the language is able to convey vast concepts in a few words. Sooooo….This is the low down on all those words :O)
To perceive /To learn
To understand /To recognize
To believe /To accept His claims
To conform /To be willing
To perform or live /To obey
To see or experience
We believe that this is Christian Centers Young Adults desire! We have seen this group grow in number but so much more we have seen them grow up spiritually. They are every single one of these words! They are living and experiencing God for themselves daily. They accept Christ claims and are willing to learn and obey Him. This is truly “KNOWING GOD.”
"This is Eternal Life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom You have sent."- John 17:3 "
"This is Eternal Life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom You have sent."- John 17:3 "
…. So that you may know and believe Me (God), and understand that I am He." - Isaiah 43:10
"Teach me your ways so that I may know you and continue in your favor." - Exodus 33:13

Welcome
This is our first post on our first blog! We’re excited. We thought this would be an awesome way for us to share everything that has to do with the life of this group. We plan on adding posts about upcoming events, the books were using, and things like that. But more than that, we plan on sharing our hearts about what the Lord is teaching us as leaders, about how He is showing up in huge ways in the lives of our friends, and about the importance of authentic community in the body of Christ. We hope you find this both useful and enjoyable, and we look forward to reading your comments.
